
Paul Castro is an established nonprofit leader with extensive experience in leading social service and social justice organizations. In 2018, Paul concluded an 18-year career as President and Chief Executive Officer of Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles, a multiservice social service organization serving more than 100,000 individuals and families annually throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
Paul has worked with local, state and national nonprofits, offering interim executive services, executive and board coaching, and organizational development in the areas of fund raising, financial management and board governance.
Paul has more than 40 years of professional and volunteer experience in the nonprofit sector. Throughout his career, he has worked tirelessly to further opportunities for disadvantaged and disenfranchised communities in the areas of social justice, philanthropy and fundraising, and has effectively advocated for services for the most vulnerable members of the community at the local, state, and federal level.
Paul has served as adjunct faculty at the American Jewish University and Hebrew Union College graduate programs in nonprofit management, teaching and mentoring future nonprofit leaders in the areas of governance, advocacy, civic engagement, and ethics.
Paul graduated from California State University at Fullerton with a BA in ethnic studies and holds a juris doctorate from Loyola Law School.
