Suzanne has extensive experience in museum leadership, transition planning, and executive search, most recently as a consultant with Museum Search & Reference working with museums around the nation on executive leadership and transition. Before this, Suzanne served as an interim executive director (IED) for several years with appointments across the Bay Area region. During this time she was an active member of the Bay Area Interim Executive Directors network and was also appointed Co-Chair of the Executive Transition affinity group associated with the Alliance for Nonprofit Management.

Suzanne began her nonprofit/museums career at SFMOMA and has since served in leadership positions at the Japanese American National Museum, the Santa Monica Museum of Art, the Armory Center for the Arts, and the Richmond Art Center in California where she was Executive Director, among others. As a senior consultant with Marcum’s Search, Transition and Planning group, she led non-profit transition services including executive searches and strategic/succession planning. Additionally for over 10 years she was a Museum Assessment Program consultant in organizational development for American Alliance of Museums.
